Heather serves in a volunteer capacity as the Sunday Service Director, organizing all of the parts of the Sunday morning service. She also teaches piano lessons and has done this for many years while raising her family. She is thankful to be able to pass on her love for music while helping both adults and children learn to play the piano.
Describe yourself: I am a people person. While I do enjoy some time to myself, I just think that everything is more fun when it’s shared with someone else….even exercise!
The person you love: Scott, my husband for 27 years…my best friend, my biggest encourager and my favourite person to spend time with!
Family: My other favourite people! Spencer graduated from Trinity Western University with a business degree and has a job in sales. He recently married his best friend and my new daughter Shauna. Holly’s in fourth year studying music therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University, and Kate’s in Grade 12 and we’re trying to convince her that being the only child left at home can actually be a good thing!
Morning ritual: Make lunches, feed the dog, walk the dog (if he’s lucky!) then get on with my day.
What I need to get through the day: a latte is nice, people, conversation.
Could live without: winter, lineups, goodbyes.
Perfect meal: Saturday morning breakfast.
Must read: Crazy Love by Francis Chan, anything by Bob Goff
Favourite thing to do: Taking trips with my family, especially when we can all be together.
Guilty Pleasure: Collecting McCafe rewards stickers (I’m obsessed).
How you connect with God: Reading His Word (Bible), listening to worship music, playing the piano.
Passionate about: Knowing people, their stories, and seeing them get to know Jesus and watching Him change their lives.
